So why $2.00 for One Song? This is a special song for a very special project, paying homage to all the Mother's in our lives, those still living and those who have passed. The song," 'Cause of You ", came to me on the 25th anniversary of my mom's passing. As I've often said, I think of the songs that I've written as gifts to me - and it's my job to give them to YOU. This Mother's Day project is a way for all of us to give something in honor of our Mothers. The net proceeds from your purchase of this song will be donated equally to two organizations, both supporting research for cancer prevention, treatment and care. The first is very close to home and heart and is The Muriel Genfan Scholarship Fund. Started 25 years ago, in my mom's memory, the fund gives a yearly scholarship award to a chosen Medical Student at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey for outstanding cancer research. www.umdnj.edu/foundation The second is The Cancer Research Institute. In their own words, "For more than five decades, CRI has been a leading and sustaining force in immunology and cancer immunology research worldwide. Through our advancement of these two scientific fields, we are learning how to manipulate the human immune system to target and attack cancer. Our goal is to discover and develop new, immune-based approaches to the treatment, control, and prevention of cancer." http://www.cancerresearch.org/AboutUs.aspx?id=54 Please pass the video along to everyone you know who either IS a mother or HAS a mother. Think of it as just one more mother's day gift. It's FREE. It will bring a smile, or a tear to all who see it. You can purchase a digital download of the audio right here at the SNOCAP store - and you can send anyone who might like it, the link: http://void.snocap.com/s/T3-31324-KV6FP324JC-X/ . SPECIAL THANKS...I can't thank you enough for participating in this with us. Those of you who sent in pictures, you really helped make the video come to life! Dennis Stafford - kudos for thinking of this idea and Tay Hoyle - kudos for your amazing videography skills and endless stamina making the deadline for this. Luna Guitars and Sights and Sounds Films - Thank You for your help with the original footage. With a gratefully full heart, Vicki,

Vicki hears music that ordinary people do not. Luckily for us, she knows how to share her gift with people of every age. Vicki has taken a musical "quantum leap", changing the way an acoustic guitar makes music, exhibiting a mastery of the acoustic guitar that borders on pure alchemy and in fact, audiences can hardly believe she's got only two hands. An almost constant companion to her 'slapping', 'tapping' and use of 25 different guitar tunings, are her pure, expressive vocals that dig deep and stir the soul. Vicki writes and beautifully sings her own brand of music and lyrics while putting her unmistakable imprint on some of our classic 'hits' like the Beatles' Norweigian Wood and Marvin Gaye's What's Going On. As a bonus, Vicki's audiences feel they are part of something special, through her stories, her warmth and her humor.
In the past four years Vicki has been recognized among the world's greatest guitarists and musicians at festivals such as the International Montreal Jazz Festival, Germany's Open Strings Guitar Festival, Italy's Soave Guitar Festival, as well as at venues and Performing Arts Centers across the US. With 3 CDs behind her and multiple awards, Vicki continues to reach beyond musical borders and into new territory, as with her recent acquisitions of the 6 string banjo and 12 string guitar.
A passion for teaching and sharing her inspiration keeps Vicki busy in between performances at clinics and music camps around the globe. Future goals include an instructional DVD, new musical collaborations, more US Festivals and a spring and winter tour in Germany for 2007.
